We are two young glass’ lovers and we have selected - or maybe we have been selected by - this material for our research related to art, to artistic craftsmanship and to design. We met each other in Bolzano, during the biennium at the international school of “Vetroricerca Glass & Modern”, where we have both acquired the necessary technical knowledge to work with this material. This experience has improved our technical skills and has offered us new possibilities, new perspectives and a new drive towards experimentation and artistic research beside the formal one.
We have been born in two different countries, Maya in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Denis in Belluno, Italy, therefore we have very different backgrounds and experiences. We also have different expertise regarding images, horizons, colors and shapes, and the result of all this is expressed through the development and creation of our works where two diverse personalities are merged together characterizing inevitably all of our pieces.
In 2012 we opened our glass studio-workshop in Limana, where we have created a new way of working and a different way to understand the modern in a land rooted in traditions, giving life to our ideas and those of our customers.
