We are Patrizia from Salento and Evelina from Venezia.
We were born as professionals of the cultural heritage, but with a common love for Murano glass.
So, we actually start as restorers, then we became self-produced designers and finally we become what we are at the moment, real artisans.
In our workshop we design and create materially beads that will shape our jewelry, so we take care of the whole process, from the planning to the final creation, ready to wear.
Patrizia is a "perlera”: she works the Murano glass with the traditional technique of "lume”, an ancient procedure for the realization of Venetian beads.
The entire process takes place in Venice in whose heart are contained the secrets of the artisan glass.

L'esperienza nella bottega di Simona è stata bellissima e completa. Partendo da qualche informazione storica e teorica e da una sua dimostrazione della lavorazione di vari tipi di perle, mi ha insegnato pazientemente a creare le mie perle in vetro. Un'ottima insegnante, il tempo in bottega è volato!
Consiglio a chiunque voglia mettersi un po' alla prova manualmente e immergersi nei colori del vetro di Murano. Grazie Simona! |

Bellissima esperienza. Sia nella parte teorica che in quella pratica. Le spiegazioni sono state chiare ed interessanti. Il rapporto con il vetro come materia viva appare in tutto la sua bellezza durante il tempo trascorso a Perlamadre. Per me, che ad 8 anni non volevo più salire sul vaporetto che da murano mi avrebbe riportata a venezia ma restare lì per imparare a "giocare" con il vetro, è servito per capire che questo è stato un elemento che per tanti anni ho desiderato veramente incontrare nuovamente. Grazie a questo regalo ricevuto ho realizzato un desiderio di bambina e una curiosità da adulta. Quindi grazie a chi mi ha accompagnata nell'esperienza.
