My name is Monica, I was born on the Lido of Venice, which many of you will know for its beaches and for the film festival, and I have a great passion: glass.
I started my career at a famous Murano firm in the 80s and my creations are the result of many years of work close to famous glass designers who have influenced and inspired me.
I try to give shape to my ideas to make them become objects of daily use, offering my customers the luxury of owning a unique object.
My laboratory is in my gallery, in a little “campo” in the heart of Murano. Walking through the door you’ll will find an almost magical world. Glass: a millennial art, a material in constant transformation, a star of many stories and many legends that I will be happy to share with you.

We had an amazing time in Monica’s workshop ! I went with my daughters, Monica is patient and fun with kids, she explained many interesting things about the glass and pearls tradition, and we could admire her work with je les… She speaks very good French ;-) (and german and english !!) We could experiment creating with lovely «murine » and making our own pearl, it was trully special, I recommend !

THE LAMPWORK PEARL WORKSHOP

This workshop consists of a demonstration of lampworking: by using the torch flame on the colored glass rods you will have the opportunity to create your own glass pearl, keeping a fifteenth century tradition alive. The pearl you have created will be delivered to you the next day or sent to your home address. A unique object that will remind you of this experience.

I will welcome you to my laboratory with a small demonstration of the lampworking of pearls and then off to creativity! The workshop is designed for children aged 4 and up who will discover the magic of glass by playing with small "murrine" or pieces of glass to create a personal design. Of course the artistic creation will be delivered as a souvenir to the young artists!

My glass jewellery gallery will be open only for you, I will tell you a brief history of my job, I will offer you a glass of cool prosecco and then you can unleash yourself and try everything you want! It's the ideal adventure for a group of girlfriends on vacation!
