In a warm and charming atmosphere you will learn how to restore a book, so that you can take care of your home library. You will exercise on a book that we will provide to you, utilizing some fundamental restorer's tools that you will bring home at the end of the experience.
We will understand together how books are dismantled and how to stitch booklets, as well as how ripped sheets are recovered and finally how to give a perfect guise according to the style of the volume.
During the working day we will have some tasty breaks to relax and have some pleasant chat from time to time.
You know that in a lab you can easily get dirty with almost everything, so don't wear your best dress and bring an apron or a lab coat If you have the chance!
