During this hands-on workshop you will create a pair of tea mug or a pair of coffe cups.
I will tell you about my experience with pottery and I will show you the different materials we can work with.
We will choose together the most suitable technique, then we will design the mug and shape your creation, following your ideas.
When it will come the time, we will have a break for a good tea and I will make you a special sweet gift to taste!
Once our molding phase is done, you will choose the colors for your object and I will then cook it, glaze it and finally send it to you.
If you are in Italy the shipping costs are included, while if you come from abroad we will find a way for the shipping.
My lab is very welcoming but as every artisanal "bottega" it also has its flaws. For instance, it is a little bit cold here during the winter..
I do have a heater, but you better bring a warm jumper with you!
On the other side, here you can enjoy a pleasant fresh air during the summer.
You don't need to bring anything else with you, I will give you all the equipment, apron included!

CROCKERY SOAP HOLDER
Agnes, ceramist
As we are on the Como lake you will give your soap holder the shape of a stylized fish. To decorate, you will use stones, fabrics, seashells and other objects to imprint on your still fresh piece. At the end of this project your works will dry for a few days in the workshop, then after the first baking session I will fill in the print that you have made with a white polish and then bake the pieces for a second time at 1020 degrees centigrade. The finished soap holder will then be sent to your address - if you live in Italy the sending price is included in the course.

LUTHERIE IN DOVERA
Marco, luthier
Visit is split in two parts: first of all I will show you the watermill near my lab, where there is also a rural culture museum. Then we will move to the lutherie lab, where I use to make and repair Manouche and acoustic guitars, besides all the others plucked strings instruments. I will explain you the way I work, displaying all the steps of my guitar making.

CIRKUITA: HIGH-TECH JEWELS
Paola, jewels designer
This hands-on workshop is for adults only. Paola invites you, new investigators, in her lab in Milan, very close to the famous Navigli. You will become the protagonists of an experience in first person, turning pieces of "technological archeology", destined to landfill and apparently insignificant, in unique customized jewelry, whose transparency enhances the high-tech spirit of the XXI century and projects those who wear them towards the future era of recycling and cyber existence. During the workshop, that will last four hours, you will develop the following steps with the help of Paola and her team: 1. taking apart of the device and selection of the most interesting pieces, 2. creative composition, 3. casting. The remaining steps will be accomplished in the laboratory with the delivery of the finished jewel by Christmas.
