Racconterò come nasce un cappello fatto a mano, vi mostrerò i materiali di cui è fatto, gli attezzi e le forme che si usano per modellarlo. Potrete vedere e toccare utensili antichi e saperne di più su un mestiere ormai raro.
Parleremo dei diversi modelli di cappello da uomo e da donna e di etichetta e galateo.
Una pausa interessante di circa un'ora fra una giornata di escursioni alle 5 Terre ed una visita alla città della Spezia.
Il golfo della Spezia ed i suoi famosi dintorni sono una meraviglia, la visita al mio laboratorio sarà una piccola parentesi interessante nella vostra vacanza, la finestra su un mestiere bello e fortemente radicato nella tradizione artigianale italiana.

Visit to the laboratory + personalization of your hat. I will tell you all about my job and I will offer you an overview about its secrets. I will tell you how to shape a hat by hand, and show you the materials which it is made of, the tools and the wooden shapes. You can see and touch ancient tools and learn more about this rare craft. We will talk about the different models, about hats for men and for women and about hat etiquette. After this introduction you can start to customize your hat. You will have a unisex hat with brim, felt or parasisol, previously modeled by me and you will choose and apply the finishing band of the dome. You will live a beautiful experience, coming back home with new skills and a hat made entirely of high quality materials. The duration will be about 2 hours.

Not many people know how to make a hat, which are the steps to get to the final product, creating it by hand, with the help of a few tools, an object that will be appreciated by those who recognize the true craftsmanship. We will show you the whole process, from the wooden shape to the finished hat. The experience will last an hour and an half more or less.
